So parents tell their high school students go and get a minimum wage job because you need money! No child wants to get a job but what makes things even worse is the shitty uniforms we have to wear at a minimum wage paying job. There is a reason no one ever wears visors and over sized polos around town they are just plain ugly and everyone who wears them looks like a straight up goon! No one ever looks hot in the uniforms and then your boss comes over to you and hands you an apron to make things worse! There's no way anybody will be hitting on you in that
Then there's the crazy people you're forced to work with. If there older like our parents ages they probably have some weird trait about them. For example, I worked at a hamburger restaurant and one lady who had three children all from different father and lived with her mother had the same job as me and only three teeth but, the worst part was that she smelled like moldy vegetables and was always talking about sex. There's two reasons why talking about sex with someone your parents age is bad: one you don't want to picture someone that getting frisky if you know what I mean and that is so bad it counts for two reasons! Then there's the person around your age who will talk to anyone which is bad because after the first converstation they think you're besties for life! This is a warning stay away because you will never get your freedom back. They'll drive you insane. You won't be able to hear yourself think! Tip: When they talk to you think of your favorite song and start singing it in your head. They won't seem as annoying then. Additional Tip: Think of more than one song!
The jobs high school students have to do is embarrassing because you see people who are always judging you. A customer will come in and you can read on their faces that they're glad they're not you! Plus you probably look hideous because of the gross uniforms you have to wear. Then you might even be sweating to put a cherry on top of your melty ice cream sundae. =[
The worst part of all though is seeing how little you get paid. At the beginning of the week you're happy that you took on an extra shift but, you see your pay check and it's about twenty five dollars more. Is twenty five dollars worth not being able to hang out with your friends and working at some place you count down the minutes until you leave? I think not! The pay is sooooooooo bad that half of your check probably pays for the gas that got you to work and now you can save ten dollars and spend ten dollar which will buy you one stupid movie ticket (to a movie that didn't even make you laugh).
So parents, don't get mad at your children when they say they don't want to go to work. Jobs make their lives HELL! It's not like they get to go to an office and make enough money to buy something worth buying and wear something they can be comfortable in! Jeeze.. you could be a little more understanding!
